W.W. Chan and Sons is generally regarded as one of Hong Kong's top three tailoring houses. The firm's style is generally British, although some have reported success in having the firm deviate from the house style.

For those not in Hong Kong, the firm makes thrice-yearly tours of the United States where its cutter Patrick Chu will measure customers and where customers can peruse fabric samples. On each tour, it generally has both a suiting and a shirting special. Recent suiting specials have included VBC, Charles Clayton and Loro Piana. Of late, it has been taking approximately three months from the time of the order to the time of delivery.

Once a customer's pattern is on file, Chan can and will take orders via e-mail and will dispatch fabric swatches for a customer's consideration. Such off-tour orders are generally accomplished within 4-6 weeks.

Two-piece suits start at approximately $900 U.S., although more expensive (generally British) fabrics will increase the price. Shirts start at slightly over $100 U.S. CMT (Cut Make Trim, also known as COM for Customer's Own Material) prices are approximately $60 for shirts, $700 for 2-piece suits, $900 for 3-piece suits, and $525 for jackets.

The cloth selection includes fabric from Holland & Sherry, Scabal, Vitale Barberis (VBC), Loro Piana, Zegna, Charles Clayton, and Dormeuil. For those who require a suit in a short amount of time, some of the English fabrics need to be sent from the UK and will delay the cutting of the suit by at least two days.

What are the other two in the top three? A-Man and? H Baroman? Maybe this information should be there, but I think it might be disputed.
